Take a photo of the plate, or type what you ate. A short note like “180 g cottage cheese” tightens the estimate. Each meal comes back with calories, protein and a range.
Deficitto turns a photo of your plate and the burn from your watch into one number: how far under (or over) you are today, with an honest range around it.

Deficitto reads your active and resting burn from Apple Health as the day goes on. If your wearable never reports resting burn, it estimates it from your profile.
Eaten against burned, as one number. Until the day is complete it is marked provisional, because burn keeps coming in.
Photo estimates and watch burn both drift. After about two weeks of logged days and a few weigh-ins, Deficitto compares the deficit you logged with what your weight trend says. When they disagree, it tells you, and points to where the gap usually comes from.
Burn and weigh-ins come through Apple Health. If your watch or scale syncs to Health, Deficitto can read it.
Active and resting burn through Apple Health.
Turn on Apple Health sync in their app, then pick Apple Health in Deficitto.
Weigh-ins come in from Apple Health automatically. Typing them in works too.
Connect your Garmin account without going through Health.
Deficitto only reads the burn and weight you allow in the iOS permission sheet. It never writes to Apple Health.
Sex, birth year and height are only used to estimate resting burn on days your wearable doesn’t report it.
Meal photos and notes are sent to estimate the meal. Without a connection they wait on your phone.
